Technology is awesome...
Until it crosses the line of the acceptable.
As systems become increasingly autonomous, and with NO SYSTEM completely free of bias (feel free to contact Dan to debate him on this!), it's crucial we begin developing technology with guardrails that set in view good ethical and moral uses of it.
Dan has not had the blessing of focusing (by trade or job) specifically on the ethics and morality of technology, but it is something he is extremely interested in. As a person of faith who values love, family, and community and as an excellent communicator, Dan has talents that can fit well with a role that focuses on driving the use of technology for the good of humanity and within the bounds of good etical and moral conisderations.

Note: as a developer and implementer of technology, Dan did at times need to think about the ethics and morals of the allowed uses of the technologies being developed... so that's not new to him. What he hasn't yet had the opportunity to do is to walk in a role that focuses on the ethical and moral aspects of technology on a broad scale. He wants to, and he'll bring his ethical and moral views to the table for that!
