Two of these guys had just been baptized in the ocean in Kenya!
Dan's next trip is scheduled for May with Transformation of the Nations, will you help send him?
Destination: Kenya
Duration: - 3-4 weeks
Dates: Travel dates in planning, group trip May 12-26
Components: Group Mission with ToTN (2 weeks), Personal Mission directly with contacts in Kenya (1-2 weeks)
Dan and the team will focus on raising up leaders and ministries to be vessels of revival, outreach, and overall transformation in their regions. Their focus is on the believers in the region, and there will be some evangelism added in as well. Dan has baptized people in the Indian ocean at the hotel where they stayed for the past two years!!! Last year they held church on the beach!!!
Dan's last trips to Kenya (2024, 2023, 2021) and his Philippines trip (2023) all resulted in :
MANY miracles of bodily healing, soul healing, and deliverance!
Leaders and church members being edified and equipped
People giving their lives to Jesus
Dan expects that God will only ramp it up even more on this trip!
It takes FUNDS to go on these trips. They are very expensive. This trip is expected to cost a minimum of USD $6,000. Airfare alone (in economy) for this trip will cost about $1,500-$2,000, and the cost of the group trip, meetings, etc. is around $3,000 for the group mission and an estimated $1000-$1500 for the personal mission!
Please help to financially send Dan if you can!
Further down this page will be some links to a video made for the 2023 Kenya trip fundraising, and other encouraging FAQs about what has happened on past trips and what is expected this trip.

Giving through Zelle requires personal information, so reach out to arrange that. If you know Dan's contact information you can use his phone number or email address to try to look him up, and the name of the result that will be returned is George. Don't worry, Dan's name is also George. If you don't have Dan's contact information, then you can use any of the methods above or you can contact him to discuss giving through Zelle.
To give by cash or check, contact Dan. At this time there is no PO Box set up for his ministry, and he's not going to publish his home address here. (For obvious reasons!)

This 22-minute video will show you some of the things God did on Dan's 2021 trip to Kenya, and some details that were relevant to his 2023 trip. In the scripture - in the Old Testament - God asked "Who will go for us?" Isaiah's response was, "Here am I. Send me!" (Isaiah 6:8)
In New Testament scripture, Jesus told his disciples to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." (Mark 16:15)
When God says, "Go", he is sending a person. It's not much different than if you sent your family member to do something on your behalf, only because it is God sending the person the authority and weight of what the person is doing is much greater.
God asked for volunteers, and Dan has volunteered his life even unto death. When you "send" Dan, you're helping him to obey the call of God to "go".
When you help a person to "go" in the name of Jesus - whether by helping fund their mission, give them housing, pray - you share in the eternal reward. Jesus speaks of a time where we'll stand before Him, and we'll be told of the reward we get for helping his children in need. (Matthew 10:40-42) We know from scripture that includes those sent by God to go for the sake of building God's kingdom in the earth. Consider, for example, the widow in Zarephath, whom Jesus even referenced, that received Elijah and as a consequence lived and had her son raised from the dead after he had died. God told Elijah to "go", and he went. This widow gave Elijah more support than you or I may every have to give someone - the only food she and her son had to live on in a time of dire famine. Yet she received not only eternal reward - consider that her story continues to be told today - but actual physical sustenance and life in her body and in her son's body also. (1 Kings 17:8-24)
Further, Paul commends the church in Philippi for helping him when they sent him support during a time of need. (Philippians 4:14) Paul calls that support "the profit which increases to your account." (Philippians 4:17)
So, to "send" someone in the name of Jesus is to help make possible their ability to carry out the work God has called them to. And yes, you get a reward from that. Whether only in the age to come, or also in the current age (which I believe is likely), God knows - but it is clear from scripture that you are rewarded when you join in supporting God's work in the earth.
There are several factors which we'll cover here, but keep in mind that none of the minimum USD $6,000 need includes the costs of Dan's life back in Portland while he is gone (mortgage, electricity, insurance, etc.) Those costs covered here apply to the trip alone.
Flights are very expensive now. The multi-city structure of this trip makes them even more expensive. One-way and multi-city flights are typically more expensive than roundtrip flights unless you're flying Southwest - and they don't go to Africa!
Consider the flights leaving and returning to PDX... If Dan had not gone on the Europe portion of the mission trip, then his flight through Amsterdam to Nariobi and back (PDX-AMS-NBO, retun on NBO-AMS-PDX) would have cost around USD $1,300-$1,400. Simply knocking ONE SEGMENT of those flights out - resulting in LESS COST for Delta airlines - causes the cost to increase to nearly USD $1,800 (PDX-AMS-NBO, return AMS-PDX). Yes, the airline pays for less and makes more. But that's just how it is.
On top of the departure and return segments, there's a cost of around $100 for a one-way domestic flight within Kenya to the east coast. Then, to get from Kenya to Europe, there is a one-way flight with a cost of around $600 or more (including $100 to buy up extra checked baggage weight.) As you can see, flights add up quickly for this type of trip. And that doesn't even consider the required transportation from Germany to the Netherlands.
The actual cost of the USD $3,300 group mission trip (which is separate from the flights) is high. It includes around 20 nights of lodging. (Think of how much 20 nights in a hotel would cost in America!) It includes funding meetings of anywhere from 100 to 300 or 400 people in Kenya for about 10 days - including food for the people. It includes gifts for local churches/congregations. It includes vehicle transportation to and from meetings. It includes meals for about 21 days. It includes basic trip insurance, and more. As you can see, there's a lot in that trip cost with the biggest factors being lodging, local church meetings, and transportation.
Those two points cover the approximately USD $6,000 needed for the group part of the trip. Not included in that amount are the first part of the trip... a segment of the trip that itself could easily cost USD $500-$1,000:
The first nine days there are individual mission. Apart from the costs listed above, there will be nine nights of lodging (using bnb's will help keept that cost lower, fuel and transportation, meals, gifts where appropriate for churches and ministries, etc.
There are other costs like ~$120 for international cell phone service during the month, cameras and SD card storage for taking video/documenting what God does, etc.
Yes, missions have gotten expensive. This isn't a mission where we're in the "bush" sleeping in a tent for a month.
While activities will vary from day to day, they may include:
hosting revival meetings
praying and prophesying over people, groups, etc
ministering healing, deliverance, and inner healing
coaching and training
videography and story telling
etc.
Videography is particularly important to capture testimonies of God's faithfulness, and to tell the story of the needs of the people on the ground there.
Videography Example: Here's a video that Dan just produced to help raise funds for the Ann Tubbs Safehouse for Girls - some of the footage was taken by him in 2024 and that was compiled with other footage captured by the local team and others on the trips in 2023 and 2024.
This 5-minute video demonstrates some of what Dan can do (and does) with videography through these trips. Dan finished this video and released it on 4/11/2025 at the request of Papa Mark Tubbs.
This particular footage is in part from Dan's trip in 2024, and from footage sent by the local team and taken by other team members
in 2023.
Aside from capturing footage to use for purposes like this promotional/fundraising video, Dan puts a lot of effort into capturing video testimonials of what God does on the trips. That footage can later be used for videos like this or dedicated testimonial videos.
We go with the purpose of equipping the locals - particularly church, business and community leaders - to walk more fully in their identity in Jesus Christ. We teach and impart gifts that God has given us to see the kingdom of God expand in the local region through THEM - the local people - rather than directly through us. There are many ways this can happen, but here is one example:
A pastor Dan met from the 2023 trip told him almost 1 year later that she not only received so much healing herself, but she was challenged to step out and pray for healing for people. She said she has been praying for physical healing for people since I visited and had already seen three people healed, including one with a wound of some sort! Yay, Jesus! She also said that many others from her church were similarly affected.
As the people and the leaders begin demonstrating the kingdom of God in love and power, the community changes... they begin to see a God who is filled with love, who can and does provide, and who does miracles today just as he did in the scripture. As the people begin to realize how loved they are and how powerful they are in Christ, their mindsets can be transformed into the mindset of a loving overcomer in the example of Christ. Focus can shift from self needs to the needs of others and community, and as that happens they change their community.
God did many, many things in past trips (2021 Kenya, 2023 Kenya, and 2023 Philippines.) Perhaps the most important of these is love: people were profoundly impacted by the love of God in various ways that brought healing in their hearts and families.
Morever, God's love is power and God demonstrated His power in the name of Jesus through:
Many physical healings.... too many to count. In one larger meeting an estimated 80-100 people or more said they received physical healing.
Many works of inner healing as people were fed with the word of God, and loved in ministry.
Many deliverances, including a number of physical manifestations where locals had to help restrain the people as the demons were cast out.
Territorial warfare: as the kingdom of light comes it confronts the kingdom of darkness and begins tearing down altars of the enemy in the spiritual realm that empower witchcraft and other evil. (Those things are very real, though you may have never heard of them. Dan could share many stories with you that would attest to this.
Salvations: in the hotels and in meetings there are often people who give their lives to Jesus and are saved! Evangelism is not the focus of the trip, but it is something done all along the way. Four people were baptized in one day on the 2023 Kenya trip, and several more gave their lives to Jesus!
Here's one more practical, and very real example of some of the miracles God does on these trips...
On the 2023 Kenya trip, Dan's van driver told him they were going to be driving near his home. So Dan asked, 'Can we stop by your home and bless it?' The man was happy to have the blessing, so at the end of the day we did stop there. For probably five to ten minutes Dan and four or five others from the team prayed and blessed this man's home and the homes of his family (which were small homes on a plot of land the family owned).
Now comes the evidence of the miracle: that next morning this man told Dan that for the first time in many years he was actually able to sleep the whole night and did not experience pressure in his chest while he slept. His wife and family experienced similar deliverance. That one stop literally changed this man's life so he can function better, have sleep and get more energy, be in a good rested mood for his family, etc. And his wife and children all are free to live more fully as well. Praise to God! If Dan can find that video testimony he'll post it here.
One more story: in a small church in a poor, rural area of western Kenya in 2023 many miracles broke out. Dan has video testimony from these people. God gave Dan supernatural faith for one older gentleman who came in on crutches. By the end of the meeting this man was walking on his own without crutches - first slowly limping and then ever faster. The people there cheered when he testified of his healing and walked! He had been unable to work for two or three years because he had fallen and broken his leg and it had not healed well. By the grace of God, Dan is believing that now this man will be able to perform some kind of work again. Thank you, Jesus!
Kenya: ~May 6 - May 7
Preparation and time zone adjustment... likely in Nairobi. Potentially meeting with local ministries and leaders, but focused on physically adjusting for the demanding work ahead and getting the word of the Lord for what is to come.
Kenya: ~May 8 - ~May 11
"Individual" mission in Nakuru, possibly Nairobi, and possibly other areas in the western part of Kenya. (Subject to change.) He'll be partnering with local Kenyan friends and leaders to bless their ministries, including visiting orphanages, sowing into the ministry to the widows, sowing into local leaders.
Kenya: May 12-14
Rest before the group trip, and evangelistic outreach at the place of lodging
Group trip begins
For the trip page, see https://www.totn.org/transformation-trips/kenya-2025
Kenya: May 14-26
Group mission on the eastern coast of Kenya (around Malindi, Kalifi, Mombasa), including ministering at multiple leadership conferences and visiting the Rock Creek School and Rock Creek Children's Home new Safehouse for Girls building site.
See below for a video produced by Dan of the Ann Tubbs Safehouse for Girls... one of the many things he does on these trips is preparing to tell the story when he returns by capturing video!
Kenya: May 26-27
Rest and recuperation before another intense time of ministry with his local Kenyan friends...
Kenya: May 28-~June 1
"Individual" mission in Mombasa area, potentially Kalifi area and other east Kenya areas. (Subject to change.) He'll be partnering with local Kenyan friends and leaders to bless their ministries similar to the first part of the trip described above.
Dan and the team will have some fun along the way, of course. After all, what is life without some laughter?!
Most days, however, they will be focused on ministry or recovery. Ministry - especially in the hot environment in Kenya but even in air conditioned spaces (rare outside of Nairobi) - can be very taxing. Getting a good night of rest is important. So Dan is prepared for long days in which he'll see the glory of God - Jesus Christ Himself - manifest in the earth for the praise of His glory.
Dan plans to do some Facebook broadcasts which he hopes to make public while there. He's toying with the idea of a dedicated updates channel on Telegram. CHECK BACK HERE for more info soon on how updates will come!
If you do end up giving and want to follow along, please include your contact information when you send your gift so that Dan can not only thank you, but also let you know what he decides to do for updates along the way.
Yes! You may absolutely share this with other people. At the bottom of the page you'll find some printable flyers. They're best to print in color, but black and white is better than nothing. You'll also find some photos of the flyer that you can send over text message to your friends.
